Authorities are moving motorbikes and belongings of residents of Hoa Khanh Nam ward (Lien Chieu district, Da Nang city) to a higher place.

On the morning of November 5, in Da Nang City, there was heavy rain, some areas were deeply flooded, authorities had to use boats to move motorbikes and people to safety.

According to the Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue and Civil Defense of Da Nang City, in the past 3 hours in Da Nang City there has been very heavy rain.

It is forecasted that in the next 3 hours, heavy rain and very heavy rain will continue in districts of Da Nang city. Rainfall in the next 3 hours will be 50-100mm, in some places over 150mm.

Warning: Moderate to heavy rain and very heavy rain will continue in the city from 3 to 6 hours. It is necessary to continuously monitor official news and flash news on heavy rain to have timely information.

Heavy rain concentrated in a short period of time can cause flooding in low-lying areas and urban areas in the city, causing traffic disruption and property damage, and the risk of flash floods and landslides in mountainous areas.

At Me Suot Street, people have evacuated to a safe place. However, some people still return to their homes to evacuate and protect their property. Therefore, the authorities have used boats and buoys to help people move motorbikes, electric bikes, and people to a safe place. At the same time, they are on duty 24/7 in deep water areas, Vietnamese sausagey strictly prohibits people from passing through to ensure safety.

Mr. Le Cu Anh, Party Secretary of Village 8 Da Son, said: "We have evacuated people since 5am this morning. Up to now, the elderly and children have been evacuated to a safe area. We are currently moving motorbikes and people's belongings to higher ground."
