The road becomes a pond
Actual records show that over a length of more than 5 km, many inter-commune roads have been peeling and muddy.
Due to lack of restoration, the road is increasingly damaged, becoming a nightmare for people. Even every time it rains, it turns into a pond of water that splashes into a house every time a vehicle passes by.
Mr. Nguyen Huu Minh, in village 11, Bao Lam 2 commune, said that the entire road is not in any place. People traveling and transporting goods often face danger, especially when it rains. "There have been dozens of cases of falling, breaking limbs due to potholes" - Mr. Minh said.
Similarly, Ms. Le Diu, in village 9, Hoa Ninh commune, reflected: "The road has been built for more than 15 years, and was quite sturdy before. However, in recent years, vehicles carrying agricultural products and heavy materials have been passing by a lot, causing the road to be quickly destroyed. Our farmers face many difficulties in transporting agricultural products and fertilizers".
Many households have contributed their own money to temporarily patch the road many times. However, the road has just been patched and has re-damaged, especially during the rainy season.
Mr. Duong Xuan Thao, in Duc Giang village, Bao Lam 2 commune, said: "We have reported many times, the government has also inspected but so far the road has not been upgraded".
Potential accident risk
According to Mr. Tran Viet Cuong, Chairman of Bao Lam 2 Commune People's Committee, in recent times, the locality has received many opinions from people about the damage and deterioration of this road.
The road is seriously degraded, directly affecting people's daily life and travel and posing a potential risk of accidents.
Of the more than 5km, up to 3.5km passes through the commune and this is also the most severely damaged section. After the actual inspection, the locality will report to relevant departments and branches to consider and propose the Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee to include this route in the local urgent project and request an investment policy.
"The locality hopes that the road will soon be invested in upgrading and repairing to create favorable conditions for people to travel and contribute to socio-economic development" - Mr. Tran Viet Cuong added.
