In mid-April, at the construction site of the road project connecting National Highway 32 with the Noi Bai - Lao Cai expressway, the construction atmosphere was urgent. Excavators, rollers, and transport trucks operated continuously; hundreds of workers divided shifts to construct excavation, leveling, drainage culverts, and asphalt pavement at many sections.
At the bidding package from Km3+644 to Km5, An Viet Construction Investment Joint Stock Company has mobilized 15 locomotives and nearly 20 engineers and workers to continuously construct to compensate for progress.

According to Mr. Nguyen Van Thong, a technical officer of the unit, the current construction volume is about 70%, striving to complete the roadbed before May 30 and pave the road surface before June 30.
The project has a total length of 11.8km, of which the section passing through Trung Tam ward, Lao Cai province is 9.8km long, affecting 408 households, 69 cases have to relocate houses. Up to now, most of the site has been handed over, only a few cases are still problematic.
Mr. Nguyen The Nghia - Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Trung Tam ward said that the locality is focusing on definitively handling 4 remaining households, including particularly difficult cases that need flexible support solutions instead of just applying administrative measures.

One of the typical cases is the family of Ms. Luong Thi Nguyet - a disabled household in particularly difficult circumstances. The level 4 house is in the clearance area, but the family does not have sufficient financial conditions to build a new house, causing the handover of land to be prolonged.
Instead of letting obstacles continue, the local government has chosen a sharing approach: building houses of gratitude, mobilizing socialized resources, and calling on people and organizations to join hands to support labor days, materials, and help families relocate.

On April 18, more than 100 people including local officials, unions and people of Nong residential group jointly supported leveling the ground, transporting materials, and starting the construction of a new house for the family. On the same day, the foundation was basically completed, and the ground was handed over to the contractor to continue construction.
Mr. Nguyen Phu Tham, a resident of group 15, Trung Tam ward, shared that people all hope the project will be completed soon to facilitate travel, shorten connection time with the lowland provinces, and expand trade opportunities and economic development.

On April 22, in an exchange with Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Tran Viet Dung - Director of Investment and Construction Management Board No. 1 of Lao Cai province said that to date, the main route has handed over 11.5/11.8km of site; the roadbed has basically completed 8.8km; road surface paving has reached 2.5km; the total value of construction and installation has reached about 69.43%.
Faced with the pressure of progress, the investor is requesting contractors to increase manpower, machinery, and take advantage of favorable weather to accelerate construction.

At the same time, closely coordinate with localities to thoroughly handle the remaining bottlenecks, especially at newly added branch roads. Units strive to complete the entire project in 2026.
Not only is it a traffic project, this route is expected to open an important connecting axis between National Highway 32 and the Noi Bai - Lao Cai expressway, contributing to reducing existing infrastructure load, promoting regional linkages and creating motivation for socio-economic development for the region.
