On December 16, Mr. Le Tien Manh - Chairman of the People's Committee of Ia Pa commune (Gia Lai province) - said that there were results in handling citizens' complaints related to the case of 2 newly repaired damaged traffic works, suspected of showing signs of leaking the works.
As reflected, from the provincial decentralized capital, in May 2025, the People's Committee of the old Ia Pa district (now Ia Pa commune, Gia Lai) invested in repairing the two routes of Hung Vuong and Quang Trung with a total cost of 2.2 billion VND, each route 1.1 billion VND.

These two projects are invested by the old Ia Pa District Investment and Construction Project Management Board (now the Ia Pa Area Investment and Construction Project Management Board); Quang Minh Tuan Company Limited is the construction unit and Quang Minh Phat Joint Stock Company is the supervision consultant.
The project will be constructed in 90 days, completed and put into use from mid-August 2025. However, after only a short time of operation, the two routes have appeared damaged, peeling and sunken, affecting people's travel and causing public skepticism about the quality of the project.
Upset, Mr. Tran Van Gi (born in 2019, residing in Gia Lai province) filed a complaint with the authorities. In the petition, Mr. Gi accused Mr. Pham Chi Si - former Director of the old Ia Pa District Construction Investment Project Management Board - of showing signs of lax management and lack of responsibility in the project implementation process, allowing construction not in accordance with approved design documents, cutting and showing signs of project leakage.
Through verification, the People's Committee of Ia Pa commune determined that Mr. Gi's complaint about the construction site not being in accordance with approved design documents, cutting and showing signs of "pulling out" was correct.
Accordingly, the construction area for road surface repair is not in accordance with the repair area according to the approved design - estimate of the project. For Quang Trung Street, typically at the repair site S2 - (58.50 x 7.25)m, according to the design, the entire road surface width must be dug to replace the structure of 7.25m, but in reality the construction is only about 1m wide.
Mr. Gi's complaint about the construction of arbitrarily filling with materials that are not in accordance with the project design documents for Quang Trung Street was determined to be correct.
Mr. Gi's accusation that the two roads have just been constructed and accepted and have seriously degraded is correct.
Mr. Le Tien Manh said that from the results of the complaint verification, the locality will take disciplinary action against individuals and groups that violate the regulations.
