On March 8, Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee just issued a document to departments and branches to urgently implement the conclusions and directions of the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee on the Ring Road 4 project in Ho Chi Minh City.
According to the document, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the Department of Agriculture and Environment, the Department of Construction, the Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board, and the Area 03, 04, 08, 09 Project Management Board to report on the results of implementing the direction of the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and propose handling obstacles in the project implementation process, ensuring project completion on schedule and in accordance with regulations.
The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also assigned the Provincial Land Fund Development Center to coordinate with the Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board and the People's Committees of communes with projects passing through to urgently develop detailed plans on compensation, support, and resettlement for the Ring Road 4 project of Ho Chi Minh City and submit them to the Provincial People's Committee for approval for implementation.
According to the schedule, the component project strives to be completed in 2028 and put into use in 2029.
Previously, in January 2026, Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee had a plan and assigned the Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board to organize the preparation, appraisal, evaluation, and decision to approve the component project of Ring Road 4 HCMC and carry out the next work to start construction before June 30, 2026 (for component projects invested in the form of public investment).
For component projects implemented according to the public-private partnership method, organize the preparation, appraisal, evaluation, decision approval of component projects and select investors to complete before June 30, 2026; carry out the next tasks to start construction in the fourth quarter of 2026.
The Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 4 project has a planned route length of more than 159 km, passing through the provinces of: Dong Nai, Tay Ninh and Ho Chi Minh City. In which, the section passing through Dong Nai province is about 46 km long (including Thu Bien bridge).
