Accordingly, the fire was discovered at around 3:45 p.m. on June 1 at the raw material storage yard (scrap paper) located in the premises of HKB - Hoa Lu Paper Joint Stock Company (in Van Phong Industrial Cluster, Nho Quan District).
Immediately afterwards, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police of Ninh Binh Province mobilized forces and vehicles to the scene along with local forces to put out the fire.
On June 2, speaking with a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Tran Viet Hung - Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Nho Quan District (Ninh Binh Province) - said that after many efforts, by around 4:00 a.m. on June 2, the authorities had basically controlled the fire, while preventing it from spreading to other areas.
"Initially, it was determined that there were no human casualties in the fire. The cause of the fire and the property damage are currently being investigated and clarified by the authorities" - Mr. Hung said.
