Ensuring a safe plan
In recent days, the North has continuously experienced heavy rains, causing many construction sites of the 500kV Lao Cai - Vinh Yen line to slide, some foundation holes are submerged in mud and water.
At the project site, immediately after the weather has cleared, contractors are focusing on human resources and materials to construct foundation excavation. Not only working day, many contractors also work overnight to complete the excavation and foundation work at locations early.
"Working time has increased from 8 hours to 12 hours per day" - Mr. Pham Van Tinh - a worker in the Construction Team of Song Da 11 Company - said.
Speaking to Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Do Quang Khai - Deputy Director of the Power 1 Project Management Board, and Director of the Lao Cai - Vinh Yen 500kV Power Line Project Management Board - said: We have directed contractors to proactively implement solutions to construct immediately after the rain: Pumping water, dredging mud and landslides, using specialized vehicles to transport materials to the foundation.
Despite the urgent progress, the investor still prioritizes absolute safety. Contractors are required to develop safety plans for the flood season, especially for locations at risk of landslides.
"We are urging the contractor to try to complete the entire waistband of the whole route in the beginning of June to move to the stage of building and pulling the wire. Currently, 25 positions have been completed, 36 construction positions; contractors are also accelerating the transport of columns to the foundation positions to be ready to erect as soon as the conditions allow," the director of the Project Executive of the Lao Cai Line Project and the Production of Lao Cai Line and the Production of the Lao Cai Line and the Installation of Lao Cai Line and the Production of Lao Cai Luc and the Proposal of the Lao Cai Line and the Production of Lao Cai Line and the Production of Lao Cai Luc and he will pretend to set up the set of Lao Cai and the sets of Lao Cai. Favorable, avoid wasting waiting time.
Complete orders before the peak rainy season
In addition to the foundation construction, the production and supply of steel poles for this hundreds of kilometers long line has also been accelerated.
Mr. Vu Van Nam - Director of Construction Mechanical and Trading Joint Stock Company 4 - said: The company participates in a total of 82 steel pole foundation locations and the expansion of the 500kV Vinh Yen station with a total of about 8,500 tons of steel poles. "We will deliver the last shipment on June 24, about 20-25 days ahead of schedule" - Mr. Nam affirmed.
Also according to Mr. Nam, this is one of the new projects that have been put into use the steel pipe column by the Vietnam Electricity (EVN), so the preparation of import materials is very difficult. The progress of the investor is also very strict, so the company has mobilized all employees to increase the time to work "3 shifts" to meet the project progress.
According to Mr. Nguyen Hong Thang - Deputy General Director of Viet Vuong Joint Stock Company (the contractor is handling 128 pole foundation locations with a total weight of 14,500 tons), the company is speeding up the progress to hand over the steel pole for construction, especially when the rainy season is approaching. It is expected that all pillars will be completed at the factory before June 20.
"The 500kV Lao Cai - Vinh Yen transmission line project has a new feature of combining both production and construction in the same package, thanks to which, the coordination between column suppliers and construction and installation units becomes more smooth, ensuring that the columns are moved directly to the foundation location as soon as completed, avoiding the situation of "culverts waiting for columns" or " columns waiting for foundations" - Mr. Thang informed.
The 500kV Lao Cai - Vinh Yen transmission line project is a national key project, approved by the Prime Minister, assigning Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN) as the investor and Power Project Management Board 1 as the investor representative. The dual-current line line is 229.5km long, including 468 pole foundation locations, passing through 4 provinces: Lao Cai, Yen Bai, Phu Tho and Vinh Phuc, connecting from Lao Cai 500kV station to Vinh Yen 500kV station. The total investment of the project exceeds VND 7,410 billion.
