On August 28, the Gia Lai Provincial Hydrometeorological Station said that in the past 6 hours (12:00-18:00), the whole province experienced heavy rain, some places had very heavy rain. Land moisture models in some areas are nearly saturated or have reached a saturated state (over 80%).
It is forecasted that in the next 6 hours, areas in the province will continue to have rain, with common rainfall of 20-40mm, some places over 50mm. There is a high risk of flash floods on small rivers and streams in mountainous areas; landslides on steep slopes and subsidence in 39 communes and wards. The natural disaster risk level due to flash floods, landslides and subsidence is level 1.

Warning of flash floods and landslides that can have negative impacts on the environment, threaten people's lives, cause local traffic congestion, affect the movement of vehicles and destroy civil and economic works, causing damage to production and socio-economic activities.
It is forecasted that on the night of August 28 and August 29, the sea area of Gia Lai province (including Nhon Chau island commune) will have scattered showers and thunderstorms. During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, strong gusts of wind of level 6-7, waves 2-3.5m high. All ships operating in these areas are at high risk of being affected by gusts of wind and large waves.
