On June 1st, the Gia Lai Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board said that the unit is promoting the construction progress of schools in border areas and the disaster-stricken population stabilization project.
According to the report, in 2026, Gia Lai province will implement 16 projects and plans to arrange emergency population stabilization in disaster-stricken areas with a total budget of more than 2,100 billion VND, arranging safe accommodation for 1,495 households in areas at high risk of landslides, flooding and natural disasters.
Currently, many projects and works have achieved progress from 77% to 85%, basically meeting the set requirements.
The provincial government requests the Project Management Board and construction contractors to accelerate progress and soon disburse funds to put the project into service for people, contributing to stabilizing life and responding to floods in the coming time.

Projects must ensure quality, complete essential infrastructure for people such as electricity, water, transportation, schools, community centers and production areas.
After the project is completed, localities will conduct draws, allocate land, and allocate houses to households to settle down before the rainy and storm season.
At the same time, local authorities continue to propagate and mobilize people to evacuate from dangerous areas, where floods and flash floods occur frequently.
With only a few months left, the Central Highlands region will enter the long rainy season. Therefore, school projects in border areas are being accelerated by the Project Management Board, the army and contractors in coordination.
Currently, there are more than 500 officers, soldiers and workers living and working in camps in the border area to serve construction.
Main items such as schools, official residences for students and teachers, kitchens, and common living areas are prioritized for completion first.
When the rainy season comes, internal items such as furniture, ceilings, wall paint, stone paving... will continue to be completed.
The border school project is being implemented in 7 communes: Ia Mo, Ia Puch, Ia Pnon, Ia Nan, Ia Dom, Ia Chia and Ia O, with a total investment of more than 1,500 billion VND on an area of nearly 52 hectares.
When completed, the projects are expected to serve more than 7,000 students in border areas, where learning conditions are still very poor and travel is difficult.
The project is implemented according to Notice Conclusion No. 81-TB/TW dated July 18, 2025 of the Politburo and Resolution No. 298/NQ-CP dated September 26, 2025 of the Government on investment in building schools in border communes.
