According to the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, the project to build a drainage system on DT 744 road passes through Phu An and Tay Nam wards. When the project was implemented, there were 169 cases affected with a recovered area of about 0.97ha.
To date, the units have completed land recovery notices and measurements. The inventory work has been carried out in 169 cases. Relevant units are approving compensation plans for households and land recovery.
In addition, on this route, there is also a project to upgrade and expand DT 744 road (section from km 12+000 to km 32+000) which is also being carried out for site clearance in the section passing through Phu An and Tay Nam wards. When implementing this project, there were 848 affected cases, requiring compensation of about 835 billion VND to recover the site.
According to reporters' records, due to lack of land, for the past 3 years, the above 2 projects have been slowly constructed. Meanwhile, DT 744 road has deteriorated, some sections are damaged, and deep holes are dangerous for traffic participants.
The section passing through An Tay market area is often waterlogged, and the road surface is bumpy. This affects the safety of people when traveling through here.
The Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee has issued a document directing Phu An and Tay Nam wards to accelerate the progress of compensation, support, and resettlement for the above projects. The Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee requests units to complete land acquisition before July 2026.
The Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee requests to ensure close coordination between departments, agencies, and branches, the People's Committees of Tay Nam and Phu An wards in organizing the implementation of tasks according to their functions and authority; promptly advise and handle contents under specialized responsibility, contents according to the direction of the City People's Committee and tasks assigned or authorized by the City People's Committee, ensuring project implementation progress.
The City People's Committee requests units to mobilize the involvement of the entire political system; strengthen close coordination between investors, departments, agencies, and the People's Committees of Tay Nam and Phu An wards.
It is known that DT 744 road is the main route connecting the large area in Dau Tieng with the industrial urban area in the North of Ho Chi Minh City. The road is about 50km long from the starting point intersecting with National Highway 13 to the center of Dau Tieng commune. Many sections on this road have been expanded to 4 car lanes. The section passing through Phu An and Tay Nam wards has only been invested in 2 car lanes, without sidewalks or green trees.
