The State Council of Professors has just announced the list of candidates who meet the standards for professors and associate professors in 2025.
Prof. Dr. Tran Minh Dien (57 years old), Director of the National Children's Hospital, is one of 14 candidates proposed by the Council of Professors of Medicine to be considered for promotion to the title of professor in 2025, majoring in Medicine.
During his research career, he has chaired and completed 20 scientific topics from the grassroots level and above; published 186 articles at home and abroad, including 70 articles in prestigious international journals. He is also the author of 13 specialized books published by prestigious publishers.
With many contributions to the health sector, Dr. Tran Minh Dien was awarded the Second Class Labor Medal in 2025. Previously, he was awarded the title of People's Doctor in 2021 and was honored in the " Glory of Vietnam" program in 2024.
According to regulations, after 15 days of announcing the results, the Chairman of the State Council of Professors will sign a decision to recognize and grant certificates of meeting the standards for the titles of professor and associate professor to the candidates.
After 5 years from the date of the decision to recognize the standards, if the candidate is not appointed to the title of professor or associate professor at a higher education institution, this decision will expire.

According to the State Council of Professors, out of a total of 836 candidates for professors and associate professors in 2025, many are holding leadership and management positions at central and local hospitals. In the health sector alone, about 15 candidates are directors or deputy directors of major hospitals such as Huu Nghi, Cho Ray, Nhan Dan Gia Dinh, Hanoi Obstetrics and Gynecology, Hue Central Hospital, K Hospital, Nghe An Eye Hospital...
