THANH TUẤN |

Gia Lai Some investment projects in Gia Lai are currently facing difficulties in legal procedures, and need to be completed soon to promote socio-economic development.

On April 17, the Gia Lai Provincial People's Council (GPC) deployed a monitoring team to monitor the implementation of investment calling projects for the period 2018-2022 in the province.

Accordingly, the working group of the Provincial People's Council has conducted a field survey in three projects, including: Gia Lai Vina Duck Breeding Farm (Hong commune), Chu Se High-tech Agricultural Area ( Ia Glai commune) and Nam Pleiku Industrial Park.

At Gia Lai Vina Duck Breeding Farm, the project has been approved by the Provincial People's Committee for investment, with a scale of 21,000 pigs/catch, an output of about 5 million eggs/year, and a total adjusted investment capital of VND34.4 billion.

The project started in the fourth quarter of 2024 and is expected to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2025. However, some legal procedures have not been completed.

Similarly, the Chu Se High-Tech Agricultural Zone project with an area of over 144 hectares, invested by Viet Phuc Import-Export Production and Production Joint Stock Company, was approved in June 2021 but has not yet completed the necessary documents.

The monitoring delegation of the Provincial People's Council requested investors to urgently complete legal procedures. At the same time, relevant departments and branches need to continue to monitor and support businesses in implementing projects in accordance with their commitments.

In particular, Nam Pleiku Industrial Park, Gia Lai province is continuing to invest in infrastructure and actively promote to attract businesses.

Mr. Truong Van Dat - Permanent Vice Chairman of the Gia Lai Provincial People's Council - emphasized that the supervision aims to review the implementation of recommendations, enhance the responsibility for state management of the Provincial People's Committee and related agencies.

Many issues need to be specifically addressed, especially problems in attracting investment, high-tech agricultural projects, industrial parks, industry planning, credit for cooperatives, digital transformation and environmental protection in livestock farming.
