Phu Tho - Heavy rain has caused damage at some booths in the "Colors of Tourism of Dat To - Phu Tho 2026" event by Van Lang park lake.

On the morning of April 23, in an exchange with a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Nguyen Duc Hoa - Director of the Phu Tho Provincial Tourism Promotion Information Center - said that heavy rain last night caused tarpaulins to cover and columns of some food stalls at the "Colors of Tourism of Dat To - Phu Tho 2026" event to be blown off and fallen.

Heavy rain occurred late at night, the small traders had returned to rest at that time, the goods were previously covered, so the damage was not large. The tarpaulin was blown off and the collapsed poles are being rebuilt, by this afternoon the small traders can continue selling goods" - Mr. Hoa shared.

According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, last night and early this morning, due to the influence of cold air combined with upper-level wind convergence, the Northern region had scattered showers and thunderstorms, with locally heavy rain. In the Lam Thao area (near the former Viet Tri city area), the measured rainfall was 76mm.

Previously, on the night of April 22, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism organized the opening ceremony of the "Colors of Tourism of the Ancestral Land" Program and launched a response to stimulate tourism in Phu Tho in 2026.
