Implementing the plan of the Ministry of Public Security on launching a 50-day and night peak period of issuing electronic identification to foreigners, the Immigration Department - Hanoi Police officially deploys the collection of level 2 electronic identification information for foreigners in the city.
According to Hanoi Police, the issuance of level 2 electronic identification is an important step in the process of digitalizing administrative management, helping foreigners more conveniently carry out administrative procedures and online public services in Vietnam.
Applicable subjects: Foreigners aged 6 and over who have been granted a permanent residence card or a valid temporary residence card in Vietnam, must go directly to the Immigration Department - Hanoi Police for implementation.
Note, foreigners under 14 years old, guests, and representatives must come to complete procedures with legal representatives or sponsors; Representatives use the owner's mobile subscriber number to declare and register a level 2 electronic identification account.
Documents to prepare: Passport, permanent residence card/temporary residence card (original documents, valid documents); TK01 application issued with Decree No. 69/2024/ND-CP; mobile subscriber number in Vietnam of foreigners, email.
The reception location is at the headquarters of the Immigration Department - Hanoi Police (address: 44 Pham Ngoc Thach Street, Hanoi).
The account registration result will be notified by the Identification and Electronic Authentication Management Agency via the National Identification Application or the owner's mobile subscriber number or email address.
Level 2 electronic identification accounts of foreigners are used to carry out administrative procedures and public administrative services in the electronic environment.
The use of a level 2 electronic identification account helps foreigners access, exploit, and use electronic identification information and other information that is shared, integrated, updated from the national database, specialized database and all features, utilities, and applications of the electronic identification and authentication system, information system that have been connected and shared according to the provisions of law.
