On the afternoon of October 2, speaking with reporters, the leader of the People's Committee of Chi Lang commune, Lang Son province, said that a traffic accident had just occurred in the area, causing a student to die on the spot.
According to initial information, the accident occurred at around 3:00 p.m. on National Highway 1A through Chi Lang Commune.
According to the witness, two male students driving an electric motorbike in the same direction on the national highway, while overtaking a tractor-trailer in front, collided and were swept to the opposite direction, continuing to crash into another tractor-trailer.
As a result, one student died on the spot, the other was taken to the emergency room in critical condition.
It is known that the deceased student is currently in grade 11, at the Chi Lang Vocational Education - Continuing Education Center.
Immediately after the accident, Tung Dien Traffic Police Station and authorities were present to protect the scene, direct traffic, regulate traffic and coordinate the investigation of the cause.
The incident caused local congestion on National Highway 1A through Chi Lang Commune in both directions.
