On August 31, the leader of the People's Committee of Hung Nguyen commune (Nghe An) said that there were 650 hectares of summer-autumn rice in the area with difficult dairy production and 85 hectares of aquaculture in deep flooding.
The leader of Yen Trung commune said that the locality suffered heavy damage with 1,300 hectares of rice being flooded to the point of being inundated with milk.
In Lam Thanh commune, 900 hectares of summer-autumn rice, 120 hectares of aquaculture ponds and 40 hectares of crops were submerged in water. In Hung Nguyen Nam commune alone, more than 1,000 hectares of summer-autumn rice were deeply flooded, many roads and residential areas outside the dike were also cut off by floodwaters.

In addition to the agricultural area, heavy rain also caused the Yen Trung Primary and Kindergarten to be flooded, directly affecting people's lives and learning.
Local authorities are urgently mobilizing forces, implementing measures to pump and drain water and supporting people to overcome the damage.
