According to information, on the evening of September 5, Hiep Thanh commune experienced prolonged heavy rain, water from upstream poured into streams in residential areas, causing flooding. The authorities recorded many roads, houses, and gardens being flooded more than 1m deep, many households were isolated.
According to local leaders, the water rose, causing flooding in 4 villages of Hiep Thanh commune. After receiving the report, the functional forces of Hiep Thanh commune mobilized forces, coordinated with the police and military forces to the scene, and organized the evacuation of people to safety.
According to preliminary statistics from local authorities and authorities, heavy rain has affected more than 300 households due to flooding. During the night, the forces took the people to safety. By 2:00 a.m. on September 6, the evacuation of people and property was completed by the forces.
Currently, the water in some areas has receded, people have returned to clean up their houses and overcome the consequences.
