On the morning of July 31, speaking with a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper, the leader of Thai Binh Ward People's Committee said that the local government had coordinated with relevant parties to urgently fix and warn about the incident on Thai Binh Bridge that occurred last night.
Accordingly, at about 10:30 p.m. on July 30, due to the impact of a strong storm, the lighting system, decorative lights and electric poles along with a 40m long railing section on Thai Binh bridge (from Tran Thai Tong street to Long Hung street), in Thai Binh ward, were knocked down by the wind and thrown into the riverbed.
Fortunately, the incident did not cause any human casualties.
Immediately after the incident, the authorities stretched ropes and placed warning signs of danger to ensure the safety of people and vehicles traveling through the area.
