On July 21, information from the Standing Office of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control said that the unit had a quick report on the damage caused by heavy rain with strong gusts of wind from July 19 to 6:00 a.m. on July 21.

Accordingly, the whole province had 221 houses with damaged roofs; 2 schools affected; 61 low-voltage power poles and 6 telecommunication line poles broken and tilted; 3 cars, 4 motorbikes damaged; 2 agency headquarters and 5 factories damaged.
Regarding agricultural production, initial statistics show that 18.82ha of rice, 61.07ha of crops and vegetables, 33.5ha of annual crops, and 5ha of perennial crops are affected. In addition, 157 shade trees and urban trees were broken; 30 poultry died; 0.44 hectares of fish ponds were overflowing; 1 hectare of greenhouses, nets and 61 barns were damaged.
Heavy rain and gusts of wind also injured 1 person, Mr. Hoang Van Quyet (born in 1966, residing in Hai Tien village, Nhu Thanh commune), when a tree fell on him while traveling through Mau Lam commune. Mr. Quyet is currently being treated at Nhu Thanh General Hospital and his health is stable. The area also recorded 1 household having to be urgently evacuated due to the high risk of landslides.
Currently, localities and units are continuing to review, count damage and deploy measures to handle and support people to overcome the consequences; at the same time, urgently implementing response plans to the approaching storm No. 3.
