The road project from Thuy Van industrial park to the connecting road Nguyen Tat Thanh - Ton Duc Thang, former Viet Tri city was approved from April 24, 2024, according to Decision No. 1235/QD-UBND of the former Viet Tri City People's Committee.
This is a project belonging to Group B, with a total investment of nearly 450 billion VND, implementation time from 2023 - 2027, Phu Tho Regional Project Management Board is the Investor of the project.

From the end of May 2025, Package No. 13: Construction and installation of the project - has completed the contractor selection and construction to date (winning bid price of nearly 335 billion VND).
According to records of Lao Dong Newspaper reporters in mid-April 2026, the road built is more than 4.5km long, passing through fields and residential areas of Nong Trang ward and Hy Cuong commune (Thuy Van, Thanh Dinh, Chu Hoa communes of Viet Tri city before).

The road being built has its starting point at the intersection with Truong Chinh street, the southern area of Thuy Van industrial park; the ending point at the intersection connecting Nguyen Tat Thanh - Ton Duc Thang streets.
The direction of construction coincides with the direction of Ton Duc Thang street and Nguyen Tat Thanh street (like in the middle of these 2 streets) - the main road connecting the old Viet Tri city center area with the Hung Temple historical relic site.

According to records, the ending point of the route (the intersection connecting Nguyen Tat Thanh - Ton Duc Thang streets) is only about 2.8km from the main gate to the Hung Temple Festival center.
With the starting point of the route (intersection with Truong Chinh street in Thuy Van industrial park) - a place where many factories are concentrated, it will become a place to "welcome" thousands of workers to go home after each working day.

It can be seen that the entire route is mainly under construction of excavating and filling the roadbed, building a drainage system, and some sections have not been constructed because site clearance has not been completed.
Mr. Nguyen Van Manh - a resident of Hy Cuong commune (old Thanh Dinh commune) - shared: "In the future, when the new road is completed, many workers in the old Lam Thao district area will travel to turn left onto Ton Duc Thang road and go back, without having to go around National Highway 32C as before.
According to the report of the Phu Tho Regional Project Management Board, to date, the project has handed over the site and started construction of 1.8km; the value of completed construction volume reached about 51.93 billion VND; accumulated disbursement reached 186.19 billion VND (reaching 41.4%).

Currently, functional agencies have issued land recovery notices for 469 households, inventoried 374 households, and approved compensation plans for 342 households; of which 341 households have received money, and 1 household has not agreed.
Along with that, the project implementation is still facing difficulties and obstacles related to the exploitation of embankment soil and waste dumping; the volume of roadbed embankment soil is still lacking...
The project is built to ensure a continuous, synchronous, and modern transport infrastructure; meeting traffic needs and serving production, economic trade, connecting the regional transport network... contributing to the economic, cultural and social development of the province.
