Current traffic situation at the Northwest gateway when blocking part of the road to construct an overpass

HCMC - The part of the road to construct the overpass at the Dinh Intersection is blocking people's traffic.

The overpass construction project at the Dinh Intersection has been approved by the Department of Construction and has started construction since August 19. By November 1, construction units had fenced off part of the road from Binh Phuoc 1 bridge to An Suong roundabout for construction.

The barrier has affected the order and traffic safety on the routes around the Dinh Intersection (Do Muoi and Nguyen Van Qua streets), because this is a vital route with high traffic volume.

According to Lao Dong on November 5, the number of vehicles traveling on Do Muoi Street (through the intersection of Nga Tu Dinh) was quite large, with light congestion at many times.

At the intersection, there are always traffic police on duty to regulate traffic.

Mr. Van Ba, a security guard at a store near the Dinh Intersection, said that during rush hour in the morning and afternoon, the number of vehicles increases and causes congestion, while other times, vehicles travel quite normally.

"In the past 4-5 days, when the ban on vehicles from passing between the two lanes on both sides was implemented, the congestion has significantly decreased. However, people who want to cross the road have to take a longer detour," said Mr. Ba.

To reduce traffic congestion and avoid traffic accidents when passing through the construction area, the An Suong Traffic Police Team, Traffic Police Department of Ho Chi Minh City Police recommends that people traveling through the above area should walk slowly, pay attention to the system of signs, traffic lights, command signals of traffic controllers, traffic police... do not stop or park at the construction area that causes traffic obstruction.

In addition, people can choose other alternative routes to move through the construction area.

From Binh Phuoc 1 Bridge to the West, Tay Ninh, vehicles can travel along the route: Do Muoi - Le Van Khuong - Nguyen Anh Thu - To Ky - Do Muoi - to the West or Do Muoi - Le Van Khuong - Dang Thuc Vinh - Lien Commune of the Town, Thoi Tam Thon - Le Thi Ha - Le Quang Dao - to Tay Ninh.
