In recent days, heavy rains have occurred in Thai Nguyen province, causing river water levels to rise, many places were flooded, affecting people's travel.
Not only causing flooding, rising floodwaters also damaged some traffic works. In particular, many underground bridges and temporary bridges were washed away or broken, posing a potential risk to safety when people passed.

On June 22, Lao Dong Newspaper's reporter noted that the bridge surface at the Dam Muong temporary bridge area across the Cong River, connecting Minh Duc commune (Pho Yen city) and Thang Loi ward (Song Cong city), has now been collapsed by floodwaters.
The bridge deck planks were also completely swept away by floodwaters. The bridges on both sides were also collapsed, most of which have disappeared, leaving only a few curved, precarious sections.
At the foot of the bridge, the floodwaters are turbulent. Many large bamboo bushes were uprooted and drifted into the middle of the river.

Mr. Nguyen Van Thinh, a local resident, said that the bridge started to be swept away by water in the early morning of June 21.
"The water rose rapidly, the flood blew the bridge surface into pieces. Fortunately, no one passed by at that time if they didn't know what was going to happen," Mr. Thinh shared.
Similarly, Ms. Tran Thi Thao (Song Cong City) also said that this bridge is a vital route, helping to move between the two communes quickly and saving travel time, the bridge is currently damaged, making travel difficult.
"Now that the bridge is gone, many people have to go a long way. We hope that the locality will soon have a solution to overcome or rebuild a solid bridge so that people can travel more conveniently and no longer have a lot of trouble when the flood season comes," Ms. Thao informed.
Talking to reporters, Mr. Duong Nhu Hoi - Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Thang Loi Ward (Song Cong City) said that the bridge collapsed during the major flood on June 21, when the water rose rapidly and flowed rapidly.
The scene was fenced off by the authorities and warning signs of danger to ensure the safety of the people.
The remedial plan will be implemented after the competent authority conducts a specific assessment of the current situation.
