Talking to Lao Dong Newspaper, teacher Le Ma Luong - Principal of Mo Vang Secondary School for Ethnic Minorities said: From the evening of September 29, continuous heavy rain, water from Ngoi Thia flooded into the school grounds, then flooded into classrooms, the water rose very quickly.
Mr. Luong said: at that time, the students and teachers had just finished dinner, and water and rocks began to flood into the school. A teacher moved equipment, machinery, and teaching equipment to the upper floors to avoid the flood. The rest helped students get to safety.

By the evening of the same day, the water was too deep, the two teachers were trapped at night, the commune police had to use ropes to tie them to the pillar to bring the two teachers to safety.
According to Mr. Luong, after the water receded and he returned to school, everything was devastated, facilities, teaching equipment, and equipment of teachers and students were swept away by the water, damaged, and buried in mud.

When the water receded completely, the local authorities, the army and teachers together cleaned up the school. There were about 100 boarding students and more than 20 students around the area participating in the cleaning.
"The students participate in cleaning and re-washing equipment and school supplies. The rest, more than a dozen secondary school students with good health, participated in cleaning up trash and pushing mud...", Mr. Luong said.
The image of students participating in clearing mud with the force quickly spread strongly on social networks.
The small thanament was almost covered with mud, their limbs were slippery, but the children still persistently pushed away the mud.

Despite the fatigue, their faces still lit up with smiles, without a single complaint, just tirelessly helping each other to restore cleanliness to the classroom.
Dang Trung Hieu (class 8C, Mo Vang Secondary School for Ethnic Minorities) said: "The flood receded, there were no classes, seeing teachers and soldiers clean up the school, we also participated, somehow or somehow. I just hope the school is neat and clean so we can continue going to school."

"Currently, the cleanup is still underway, the school hopes to receive support from agencies, departments, branches, and benefactors to repair damaged construction items, buy teaching and learning equipment to ensure learning conditions when children return to school," said the Principal of Mo Vang Boarding Secondary School for Ethnic Minorities.
