Quang Ngai's largest reservoir discharges water to regulate before storm No. 13

Quang Ngai - Nuoc Trong is the largest reservoir in the province, discharging water with a flow rate of 167500 m3/s to lower the lake's water level, welcoming flood and storm No. 13.

On November 6, Quang Ngai Irrigation Works Exploitation Company Limited issued a document notifying the implementation of water level regulation for Trong Water Reservoir according to Operation Order No. 58/BCH dated November 5 of the Provincial Civil Defense Command.

At 8:00 a.m. on November 5, the water level of Nuoc Trong reservoir reached 118.75 m; the flow to the reservoir was 161.64 m3/s; the reservoir capacity was 179.31 million m3; the flow through the spillway was 167.59 m3/s; the flow through the power plant was 0.0 m3/s; the total flow downstream was 167.59 m3/s. The water level at Tra Khuc Hydrological Station is currently at 2.38 m.

From 12:00 on November 5, the total regulated discharge flow ranges from 167500 m3/s, depending on the development of floods. The lake's water level was about +118.5 m at 2:00 p.m. the same day.

The company requested the People's Committees of communes and wards along the Tra Khuc River: Son Ha, Son Thuy, Son Linh, Son Ha, Truong Giang, Ba Gia, Son Tinh, Tho Phong, An Phu, Tinh Khe, Dong Son, Nghia Giang, Tra Giang, Nghia Lo Ward, Cam Thanh Ward, Truong Quang Trong Ward to promptly notify people in the downstream area and organize forces to block the spillways to ensure safety.
