Realizing that importance, the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs of Hoa Binh province has coordinated with departments, branches, sectors, Party committees and authorities in the province to direct the implementation of many measures to improve and enhance the qualifications, skills and professional experience of the labor conciliator team.
Speaking to reporters, Mr. Bui Manh Cuong - Deputy Director of the Provincial Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs - said: "By improving the efficiency of the labor conciliation team, businesses can not only resolve labor disputes, but more importantly, support and create conditions for the parties involved to understand each other better, have the capacity to cooperate towards harmonious, stable, progressive labor relations and contribute to the overall development of the province."
According to Mr. Cuong, up to now, the province has also developed 10 more labor mediators to resolve individual disputes in 4 districts.
An effective labor mediator will help the labor collective realize the value of compliance and cooperative spirit, help employers understand the value of legal compliance, ensure the rights and value of investment to increase the benefits of employees.
However, the activities of labor conciliators still have many shortcomings and limitations because the current labor conciliators do not have much experience and related knowledge.
Training and capacity building for labor conciliators have not been carried out regularly and promptly. Training and knowledge building are often short-term, leading to the qualifications and skills of labor conciliators in some places not really commensurate with the requirements of the task.
Many businesses have not properly assessed the role and importance of mediation in resolving labor disputes, so they have not paid attention to directing, investing funds and facilities to serve the activities of labor mediators.
Therefore, the leader of the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs of Hoa Binh province said that he will continue to promote training and develop the team of labor mediators.
The training courses will provide the labor conciliators with practical knowledge, contributing to equipping them with the necessary skills to become professional conciliators and the core team in resolving labor disputes. Especially when the revised Labor Code comes into effect, the labor conciliators play an even more important role in helping and supporting both parties to resolve labor disputes.
Developing a team of labor mediators plays an important role in helping and supporting employees and employers to resolve disputes. Thereby, contributing to socio-economic stability and promoting sustainable development of Hoa Binh province.
