A rare turtle suddenly appeared in the center of Tay Giang mountainous commune, Da Nang and was quickly handed over to functional agencies by a group of students.
On April 23, Tay Giang Commune Police said - when passing through the square area in the center of Tay Giang commune, a group of students from Nguyen Van Troi Secondary School and A Tieng Elementary School discovered a turtle crawling on the road.

Realizing that this could be a wild animal that needs to be protected, the children proactively brought the turtle to hand over to functional agencies for handling according to regulations.
Through initial identification, the individual handed over belongs to the group of box turtles (Cuora genus) - a group of rare wild animals in Vietnam. This is a group of many endangered species such as Cuora galbinifrons, Cuora bourreti, Cuora picturata, which are strictly prohibited from hunting, trading or illegally keeping.
The timely handover of students has contributed to protecting a rare animal from the risk of being harmed, preserving the natural environment and biodiversity.
