Floods in mid-November 2025 caused heavy damage to people in Yang Mao commune. The house of Ms. H'Quynh Nie (born in 1990, residing in Buon Tong Rang A) was buried by a layer of rock and soil, forcing her family to temporarily stay at an acquaintance's house.
She choked up as she said: On November 17, when both husband and wife were working for hire, hundreds of tons of rocks and soil from the steep slope suddenly fell onto the house. In 2024, we borrowed to build a small house. Before they could repay the debt, natural disasters came and erased everything. In addition to the house, more than 3 sets of pineapple land were completely eroded, causing heavy damage.

Sharing the same fate, Ms. H'Ro Nie (born in 1995, residing in Buon Tong Rang B) was also left empty-handed after the flood.
"The water rose rapidly, sweeping away all valuable assets such as TVs, refrigerators, kitchens and many important documents. In the coming days, the family does not know how to make ends meet to make a living" - Ms. H'Ro Nie shared more.

In addition to the two cases above, dozens of households in Yang Mao commune suffered heavy damage, some had to throw away their assets in their homes and move to safety when the flood came.
Besides their homes, many flower gardens of people preparing for the harvest season were also submerged in water, unable to be saved.

Mr. Vo Tan Truc, Chairman of Yang Mao Commune People's Committee, said that the prolonged heavy rain caused serious landslides, damaged more than 1,000 hectares of pineapple, more than 20 hectares of coffee along the river, and 7 houses were buried or washed away.
Currently, a village is still isolated with 204 households, but last night we brought the households to safety. Currently, households temporarily reside in schools and village halls.
After many days of heavy rain, benefactors have provided food, provisions, drinking water, blankets and clothes to the affected people. Preliminary estimates show that the damage to infrastructure is about 60 billion VND, and crops are over 40 billion VND.
