Accordingly, on the night of November 18, the law le river dike suddenly overflowed, people could not react, floodwaters poured in quickly, causing flooding in many areas along the Ha Thanh river such as Tuy Phuoc commune and Quy Nhon Bac and Quy Nhon Dong wards.
Many households were trapped in severe floods, with rising water. Many people have taken to social networks to call for authorities to help move to safe areas.

Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Hoang Tuan - Head of the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department (PC07) of Gia Lai Provincial Police - said that since last night, many people have been calling for help because the water rose too quickly.

The force deployed 4 rescue teams, concentrated in Quy Nhon Dong and Quy Nhon Tay wards.
Along with the provincial forces, the police of Quy Nhon Bac, Quy Nhon Dong, Tuy Phuoc, Tuy Phuoc Dong communes also stayed up all night to mobilize vehicles and human resources to rescue people in the vast, white sea.

As of 8:00 a.m. on November 19, Gia Lai Provincial Police have evacuated 1,246 households with 4,270 people to avoid flooding.
