On June 15, the Department of Home Affairs of Dak Lak province informed that as of mid-June, 1,406 cadres, civil servants and public employees in districts, towns and cities in the area have registered and wish to transfer their work to newly established communes.
Currently, the district-level government is urgently implementing a project to arrange work for civil servants and public employees at job positions at the new commune level.
On June 20, 2025, the Standing Committee of the Dak Lak Provincial Party Committee will hold a conference to announce the key leadership positions of 68 communes and wards under the province.
Previously, localities have transferred working headquarters, fully prepared facilities, organizational structure and working personnel.
From June 25 to June 26, 2025, Dak Lak province will conduct a trial operation of the local government model at the commune level. The operation process was led by the participation and guidance of working groups established by the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, and meetings were held to learn from experience.
The district-level Party Committee will lead and organize a unified ceremony to announce the establishment and hand over the decision to appoint personnel to lead commune-level administrative units on the morning of July 1, 2025.
Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Dak Lak Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Dinh Trung affirmed that the trial operation of the model and the organization of official activities of the local government at the commune level aims to implement legal documents on the two-level local government model.
Thereby, helping to equip knowledge and professional skills for cadres and civil servants in the process of operating local governments at the commune level.
"The trial operation demonstrates the role and responsibility of provincial agencies towards commune-level agencies, before officially implementing the two-level local government model," the Dak Lak Provincial Party Secretary emphasized.
