On October 30, the Defense Command of Region 3 - Tra My organized a "love meal" program, giving 150 meals to patients in flooded areas.

In recent days, prolonged heavy rain has caused serious isolation in the mountainous areas of the western part of Da Nang city. High floods and landslides have caused great damage to houses, crops and property, seriously affecting people's lives. In difficulty, the soldiers of Military Region 5 not only supported rescue, evacuation, and landslide treatment but also took care of every meal and sleep for people in flooded areas.

On October 30, the Defense Command of Region 3 - Tra My organized a "love meal" program, giving 150 free meals to patients being treated at the regional Medical Center.

Lieutenant Colonel Tran Van Tam, Deputy Political Commissar of the Defense Command of Region 3 - Tra My, said: Supporting free meals is the policy of the Military Region 5 Command, aiming to help people reduce difficulties in floods. The program not only helps patients but also helps families limit travel, ensuring safety in dangerous weather.

According to the plan, the unit will coordinate with Trung Thi Women's Association (Tra My commune) to mobilize resources, select a reputable food supplier, organize the processing of nutritious meals, and give them to patients and relatives.

Ms. Nguyen Thi But, Head of Trung Thi Women's Association, shared: "When the soldiers raised the issue, we immediately agreed. Each portion of the rice contains love, the spirit of mutual love and the noble qualities of Uncle Ho's soldiers".

Along with the "Love Meal" program, in the afternoon of the same day, the Defense Command of Region 3 - Tra My also organized a package and cooked more than 2 quintals of banh chung to give to isolated households and the poor in the area, contributing to sharing difficulties and bringing warm air to the people in flooded areas.
