On August 16, at Bao Ninh Sea Square, Quang Tri province, more than 5,000 officers, soldiers and people attended the launching ceremony of the national walking program "Marching with Vietnam".
This is an activity organized by Nhan Dan Newspaper in coordination with the Ministry of Public Security, in response to the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution, National Day September 2 and the Traditional Day of the People's Public Security.

The event took place simultaneously in 34 provinces and cities with more than 3,000 communes, wards and towns across the country, attracting a large number of people and armed forces to participate.
With the message of "1 billion steps into the new era", the program not only has a sporting meaning but also demonstrates the spirit of solidarity and patriotism, contributing to building the movement "All people exercise following the example of great Uncle Ho" and "Health to build and protect the Fatherland".
In Quang Tri, a large number of people in red and yellow star shirts attended the flag-raising ceremony, simultaneously sang the National Anthem and took a walking tour on local roads. Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Duc Tien said: "This is an opportunity for the people of Quang Tri to express their solidarity, will to overcome difficulties and their belief in the future of the country".
Walking activities are also associated with the goal of raising public awareness of environmental protection, reducing emissions, promoting green and sustainable development. The event affirmed the role of the People's Public Security force in linking security and order maintenance with the socio-economic development of the locality.
