On July 12, Mr. Nguyen Van Quy - Deputy Director of Duc Long Dak Nong BOT and BT Joint Stock Company said that Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee has approved a policy of spending more than 71 billion VND to fix subsidence on National Highway 14 (Ho Chi Minh Road), from Km1900+350 to Km1900+650 in Bac Gia Nghia Ward, Lam Dong Province.
The funding source is arranged by Duc Long Dak Nong BOT and BT Joint Stock Company in advance and paid by the Provincial People's Committee by adjusting the fee collection time in the financial plan of the project to upgrade and expand National Highway 14, section Km817 - Km887 under the BOT form.
The project implementation period is expected to be from 2025 to 2026. Previously, in August 2023, prolonged heavy rain caused severe impacts in many areas in the old Dak Nong province.
In particular, the Ho Chi Minh road section through residential group 9, the old Nghia Thanh ward (now Bac Gia Nghia ward) has cracks and subsidence ranging from 20 to 50cm and will continue to widen over time.
The authorities have urgently evacuated 16 affected households from the dangerous area. After that, Dak Nong province established an appraisal team to determine the cause of the landslide and propose a solution.
Two options have been proposed: Return the roadbed and surface to the status quo, build embankments and renovate the drainage system; or move the road to the heart of the road to combine the renovation of the entire water collection system.
After nearly two years, the landslide section of the road has been officially allocated funds for long-term repair and repair.
