On August 16, voters representing households in 624 villages, hamlets, and neighborhoods in Quang Ninh province participated in the election of village, hamlet, and neighborhood heads for the 2026-2031 term.
According to a quick report, by 11 am on the same day, the whole province had 357,222/392,246 voters representing households who voted, reaching 91.07%.
28/54 communes, wards, and special zones completed elections, reaching 51.85%; 472/624 villages, hamlets, and neighborhoods completed elections, reaching 75.64%.
In which, 13/54 communes, wards, and special zones had 100% of voters representing households voting; 269/624 villages, hamlets, and neighborhoods achieved a voter turnout rate of 100%.

This election was held after Quang Ninh implemented the arrangement and merger of villages, hamlets, and neighborhoods. After arrangement, the whole province still has 624 villages, hamlets, and neighborhoods, a decrease compared to 1,452 units previously.
To serve the election, the whole province established 624 election teams with 6,380 members. Of which, 174 villages, hamlets, and neighborhoods chose the hands-raising voting method, accounting for 27.88%; 450 villages, hamlets, and neighborhoods organized secret ballots, accounting for 72.12%.
This morning, 621 villages, hamlets, and neighborhoods held opening ceremonies, of which 373 opening points were before 7:00 AM. The earliest opening point was at 5:30 AM in Dong Tam village, Dien Xa commune.
