Hue evacuates hundreds of households due to landslide risk

HUE - Heavy rain caused serious landslides in Hue, authorities urgently evacuated hundreds of households to safety.

On the afternoon of November 2, the Military Command of Long Quang Commune (Hue City) informed that heavy rain caused a landslide, with a crack 1m deep and more than 50m long on the top of the hill in the area of Thuong Long Clean Water Plant, Ka Dong Village. The authorities have evacuated 6 households with 21 people living at the foot of the hill to a safe place.

In addition, many other landslides have appeared in the commune, but they are not yet dangerous to the people. In Khe Tre commune, the authorities have evacuated more than 120 households with nearly 400 people due to the risk of landslides and flash floods; 6 houses collapsed, people have been taken to relatives' houses.

Currently, communes continue to mobilize and evacuate households at risk, ensuring the safety of people's lives.
