According to the forecast of the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, (up to now), Typhoon Ragasa is likely to directly affect the mainland of the Northern and North Central provinces. However, the development of the storm is still very complicated, localities, authorities and people need to monitor and regularly update the latest storm forecasts on the development of super typhoon Ragasa.
Faced with dangerous developments, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Hung Yen province requested Heads of departments, branches, units, Chairmen of People's Committees of communes and wards to postpone unnecessary meetings and focus on directing response.
Localities along rivers and coastal areas must urgently review, count ships, notify vehicle owners of the direction of the storm, call for safe shelter, and resolutely not let ships operate in dangerous areas. At the same time, proactively reinforce houses and infrastructure works, protect dykes, and support farmers in harvesting crops in the coming season. The plan to relocate people to dangerous areas and aquaculture workers must also be ready to be implemented.
The Department of Agriculture and Environment is assigned to inspect and protect key dyke points, embankments, and vulnerable works; coordinate with irrigation management units to open drainage culverts and prevent flooding. The Provincial Military Command and the Provincial Police prepare forces and means to support rescue when needed.
Other departments and branches such as Construction, Education and Training, Health, Industry and Trade... are implementing to ensure the safety of works, schools, hospitals, essential goods supply, electricity systems, and transportation.
The Provincial People's Committee emphasizes the "four on-site" motto, requiring the on-duty team to be serious and regularly report the situation to promptly direct and minimize damage caused by super typhoon Ragasa.
