On March 9, Hung Yen Provincial People's Committee held a regular meeting in February 2026 and gave opinions on some important contents.
At the meeting, leaders of the Department of Finance presented a report on the socio-economic situation in February and the first two months of 2026; key tasks and solutions for March; and at the same time submitted a draft adjustment to the Steering Plan for socio-economic development in 2026.
According to the report, the socio-economy of the province continues to maintain positive growth momentum. The index of industrial production (IIP) is estimated to increase by 12.42% compared to the same period. Total retail sales of goods and consumer service revenue reached about 54.6 trillion VND, up 15.17%. The consumer price index increased by 2.33%, and the market for essential goods serving Tet was stable.
State budget revenue in the area reached 13.6 trillion VND, equal to 16.2% of the annual estimate. The province has completed the approval of the adjustment of Hung Yen Provincial Planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050.

Concluding the meeting, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Quang Ngoc acknowledged the efforts of departments, branches, and localities in performing tasks in the past time, and pointed out some limitations such as slow management of work goals, and not very close coordination between some localities and departments and branches.
Regarding tasks for the coming time, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested departments, branches, and localities to focus on leading and directing the election in accordance with procedures and regulations, ensuring safety, to truly become a festival for the whole people. At the same time, promote socio-economic development management, especially disbursement of public investment capital, attracting off-budget investment and site clearance work.
The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also assigned the Department of Home Affairs to study and advise on classifying communes as a basis for arranging professional departments; the Department of Construction to guide localities to adjust planning; the Department of Agriculture and Environment to accelerate the progress of waste treatment plants and advise on agricultural economic development policies; the Department of Education and Training to develop a project to rearrange educational institutions and organize well the 2026 teacher civil servant recruitment exam.
The Department of Industry and Trade is assigned to monitor and evaluate the market situation, promptly remove difficulties to ensure the supply of gasoline and oil for production and consumption in the context of the complicated Middle East situation.
