Dung Quat Oil Refinery operates at 121% capacity to supply gasoline and oil

Dung Quat Oil Refinery, Quang Ngai currently maintains a conversion capacity of about 121%, ensuring continuous gasoline and oil supply to the market.

On March 9, Quang Ngai Provincial People's Committee held a meeting to discuss solutions to ensure gasoline and oil supply in the area in the context of the world energy market having many fluctuations. According to the report at the meeting, Quang Ngai province currently has 365 gasoline and oil retail stores, basically meeting the consumption and production needs of people and businesses.

At this meeting, representatives of Binh Son Refining and Petrochemical Joint Stock Company said that input crude oil is being ensured for Dung Quat Oil Refinery to operate stably.

Currently, the plant maintains a conversion capacity of about 121%, ensuring continuous gasoline and oil supply to the market and fully implementing output according to contracts signed with 19 gasoline and oil business hubs.

With the fluctuations of the global energy market, previously - General Director of Binh Son Refining and Petrochemical Joint Stock Company issued a directive requiring the entire system to proactively respond to the impacts of the war situation, and at the same time activate risk management plans to maintain stable production operations.

According to the direction of business leaders, the Factory and Technical Blocks focus resources to ensure that Dung Quat Oil Refinery operates safely, continuously and efficiently at maximum capacity. Units are also implementing solutions to optimize production, improve operational efficiency, maintenance and closely monitor domestic and international market developments to adjust production plans accordingly.

The enterprise also cooperates with the Central Petroleum Biofuel Plant to maintain the supply of ethanol to serve the blending of E5 and E10 biofuel, contributing to the implementation of the policy of developing biofuels and reducing emissions in the energy sector.

The Business - Trade block is required to strengthen market forecasting, proactively identify risks for the supply chain of raw materials, technical materials and products. Raw oil import plans and diversification of supply sources are built to ensure stable factory operation even when the global supply chain fluctuates.

In parallel with production activities, the Company continues to prepare conditions for the sixth overall maintenance of the plant and implement key investment projects, including the project to upgrade and expand Dung Quat Oil Refinery.

At the meeting of Quang Ngai Provincial People's Committee on March 9, key enterprises and gasoline and oil distributors in the province committed to maintaining a stable source of goods, ensuring continuous supply to the retail system, and preventing local shortages.

Leaders of Quang Ngai Provincial People's Committee requested agencies, units and businesses to closely monitor market developments, proactively develop response plans to ensure stable gasoline and oil supply, contributing to maintaining energy security and stabilizing production and business activities in the area.
