Mr. Tran Quynh Thao - Chairman of the People's Committee of Dan Hai commune - said that about 200 people including armed forces, organizations and local people have been mobilized to reinforce the coast.
They participated in transporting more than 400 blocks of stone, 200 blocks of sand and many bamboo piles to reinforce the coastline of about 250m that was eroded. In addition, some excavators are also used to support the work of making reinforced deposits.
According to Mr. Thao, this eroded coastline that must be reinforced belongs to Tan Ninh Chau and Thai Phong villages.
This eroded coastal area has approached the Hoi Thong dike, inside which hundreds of households live.
On September 27, to prevent storm No. 10, armed forces and youth union members actively supported Ha Tinh people to build houses and raise their assets.
On the same day, the Ha Tinh Provincial Party Committee issued a directive for the entire political system to focus on storm prevention work No. 10 to minimize damage.
