Successfully detonated a bomb weighing nearly 130kg discovered by a resident while digging up a house foundation

Dak Lak - After more than a session of handling the incident, the engineering soldiers and related forces successfully detonated a nearly 130kg bomb.

On July 9, the Engineering Department (Dak Lak Provincial Military Command) coordinated with relevant units to detonate the bomb discovered in Dak Lieng commune.

After more than a meticulous and careful handling, at around 1:00 p.m. the same day, the engineering soldiers and related forces safely handled and detonated the bomb.

Previously, Lao Dong Newspaper reported that on July 4, while digging up the hill behind their house to build a foundation and a slope to prevent landslides, Mr. Bui Tan Huong's family in Doan Ket 1 village, Dak Lieng commune suddenly discovered a strange cylindrical object.

Through inspection, the bomb was determined to weigh about 127kg, about 20cm wide and about 90cm long.

Upon receiving the report, the Dak Lieng Commune Military Command blocked off the scene and assigned officers and soldiers to protect it in accordance with regulations on handling explosives, to ensure absolute safety for the people.

After receiving information about the bomb, the People's Committee of Dak Lieng commune also quickly reported to the competent authority to handle the explosives according to regulations. Thereby, helping people feel secure in living, working and producing.
