On March 24, the Inspection Committee of the Ha Giang Provincial Party Committee announced the review and disciplinary action against violating Party members.
Accordingly, the Standing Committee of the Ha Giang Provincial Party Committee met and considered disciplining Mr. Pham Quoc Lap. During his tenure as Head of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Dong Van district, Mr. Lap had degraded in political ideology, ethics, and lifestyle. At the same time, violating the Party's regulations on the responsibility to set an example, things that Party members are not allowed to do, and committing embezzlement of property, he was sentenced to prison by the People's Court of Ha Giang province.
According to the Standing Committee of the Ha Giang Provincial Party Committee, Mr. Lap's violations caused very serious consequences, caused bad public opinion, and reduced the prestige of the Party organization.
Based on the content, nature, level, and consequences, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee unanimously decided to discipline Mr. Pham Quoc Lap by expelling him from the Party.
Previously, on January 23, Mr. Lap was sentenced to 15 years and 6 months in prison by the People's Court of Ha Giang province in the case of embezzlement of property at the ticket sales and ticket checking group at the Lung Cu National Flag Tower.
The Ha Giang Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Commission also considered and decided to discipline Mr. Hoang Ngoc Linh - Secretary of the Dong Van Town Party Committee, term 2020 - 2025 with a warning.
During his tenure, Mr. Linh lacked exemplary role, violating the provisions of the law on the management, storage and use of hunting guns. Violating Party regulations on what Party members are not allowed to do and the responsibility to set an example.
