Lam Dong urgently reinforces important passes
On the morning of November 23, National Highway 27C (QL27C) through Lam Dong province, bordering Khanh Hoa, was completely paralyzed due to a series of serious landslides.
As soon as the information was received, Lam Dong Department of Construction urgently mobilized construction units to coordinate with the People's Committees of Lac Duong commune and Lam Vien - Da Lat ward. The authorities set up barriers and warning signs at dangerous locations, and at the same time sent machinery to clean up rocks, soil, and fallen trees to gradually clear the route.
Consecutive landslides on key passes have seriously affected traffic to Da Lat. Currently, functional units of Lam Dong province are focusing on maximum human resources and means to urgently reinforce and handle cracks and subsidence points to soon restore safe traffic.
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Chuong - Deputy Director of the Department of Construction of Lam Dong province - said that the unit is mobilizing maximum machinery and construction forces to urgently handle the landslide location on Prenn Pass. The immediate goal is to soon open half of the road, ensuring the travel needs of people and tourists in the context of increased traffic volume to Da Lat after floods.
The construction force is working at the section Km224+600 - Km224+700 on National Highway 20. The items being implemented include: Placing brick stakes, placing steel plates to reinforce the road center to prevent cracks from expanding; improving the surface drainage system and groundwater; and strengthening roadbed structures that have been weakened by prolonged heavy rain.
After completing the roadbed reinforcement, a corrugated iron barrier will be erected and vehicles will be allowed to rotate on half of the road, ensuring safety for vehicles entering and exiting Da Lat from the Lien Khuong - Prenn expressway.
Meanwhile, Mimosa Pass - one of the important gateways to the city - is completely cut off after a break that lasted about 100m. This incident caused traffic pressure to increase to Sacom (Tuyen Lam Lake) and Ta Nung routes on Provincial Road 725. To speed up the progress, the construction force is working continuously until 9:00 p.m. every day.

Solving the congestion problem in Khanh Hoa
In Khanh Hoa, the congestion that has lasted for many days on National Highway 1 through Van Ninh district was resolved on the night of November 22 and early morning of November 23.
According to the Commander of Ninh Hoa Traffic Police Station (Traffic Police Department, Provincial Police), immediately after Tuy An Traffic Police Station announced that it could allow vehicles to travel through Ca Pass tunnel, the traffic police force regulated the slow movement of vehicles, freeing thousands of vehicles in the Van Ninh area. By the morning of November 23, traffic had returned to normal.
Prolonged rain and floods also caused landslides, isolating many residential areas in Khanh Hoa, Lam Dong and Dak Lak. In the mountainous area of Khanh Son (Khanh Hoa), local authorities, police and military forces of communes have mobilized maximum human resources to support people.
Mr. Lam Dong - Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Council - directly visited, encouraged and presented gifts to people taking shelter in communes in Khanh Son district. He requested the departments of Construction, Health, Agriculture and Environment, Industry and Trade and local authorities to focus on implementing solutions within their authority to overcome damage, ensure people's lives, with the highest priority being the safety of the people.
On November 23, the Ministry of Public Security issued a warning about the situation of spreading fake news on social networks related to floods in the Central region
According to the Ministry of Public Security, in addition to positive information, sharing with people in flood-affected areas, in recent days, there have been subjects who, instead of sympathy, have taken advantage of the situation of spreading false information, especially fake news by artificial intelligence (AI) with continuous frequency.
The purpose of the subjects is to distort and attack the government and functional forces in the work of overcoming and handling; others take advantage of the fabricated situation of information about thousands of people who have died and tens of thousands of people who have not been rescued to attract views and call for support for profit. These fake news disrupt information, complicate the situation, and cause panic among people, especially in flooded areas.
More dangerously, this information spreads very quickly, far exceeding the reach of official information, directly affecting people's awareness and making it difficult for the direction and operation of forces at the scene.
The Ministry of Public Security recommends that every citizen should be very alert when viewing and sharing information, and at the same time, it is necessary to strongly condemn the act of spreading false information, taking advantage of AI to forge content that causes public confusion and hinders the relief efforts being deployed every hour by the authorities.
The authorities also asked people to actively join hands to spread accurate information, contributing to supporting people in flooded areas to overcome this difficult period. For acts of directly or assisting in reporting false information, the police force is synchronously deploying professional and technical measures to detect, scan, and verify.
The Ministry of Public Security affirmed that cases of sharing due to lack of understanding are reminded or punished according to regulations. In particular, those who intentionally spread fake news, distort, cause serious consequences or for the purpose of sabotage will be strictly handled according to the provisions of the law, including criminal handling.
