Supporting 1,100 billion VND for Khanh Hoa, Lam Dong, Gia Lai, Dak Lak to overcome flood damage

The Prime Minister decided to provide emergency support of VND1,100 billion to the provinces of Khanh Hoa, Lam Dong, Gia Lai and Dak Lak to overcome the damage caused by floods.

Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc has just signed Decision No. 2572/QD-TTg dated November 23, 2025 of the Prime Minister on emergency financial support for the provinces of Khanh Hoa, Lam Dong, Gia Lai and Dak Lak to overcome the damage caused by floods.

According to the decision, support 1,100 billion VND from the central budget reserve in 2025 for 4 localities: Khanh Hoa, Lam Dong, Gia Lai, Dak Lak (including: Khanh Hoa province 150 billion VND, Lam Dong province 300 billion VND, Gia Lai province 150 billion VND, Dak Lak province 500 billion VND) to overcome the damage caused by floods as proposed by the Ministry of Finance in Document No. 18147/BTC-NSNN dated November 23, 2025.

The People's Committees of the provinces are responsible for proactively balancing local budget expenditures, along with the funds supported by the central budget and other legal financial resources to implement urgent tasks to overcome the consequences of natural disasters according to regulations.

At the same time, manage and use the above additional funds, ensure publicity, transparency, correct use purposes, correct subjects, correct regulations of the law on the state budget and other relevant legal documents, do not let them be lost or negative; report the results of use to the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment and relevant agencies for synthesis and reporting to the Prime Minister.

In recent days, unusual rains and floods, especially in the provinces and cities of Da Nang, Gia Lai, Dak Lak, Khanh Hoa, Lam Dong, have caused very heavy damage to people and property.

According to updated data, floods have caused 102 deaths and missing people, 1,154 houses were damaged, at the peak the houses were flooded; over 80,000 hectares of rice and crops were damaged; over 3.2 million livestock and poultry were killed and swept away; 24 locations on national highways were eroded, blocked, the railway through Dak Lak and Khanh Hoa was temporarily suspended; many infrastructure works of transportation, irrigation, education, and health were damaged.

The initial preliminary damage is estimated at VND9,035 billion (Quang Ngai VND650 billion, Gia Lai VND1,000 billion, Dak Lak VND5,330 billion, Khanh Hoa VND1,000 billion, Lam Dong VND1,055 billion).

Previously, on November 21, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh signed Decision No. 2549/QD-TTg to provide emergency financial support to the provinces of Khanh Hoa, Lam Dong, Gia Lai and Dak Lak to overcome the damage caused by floods.

According to the decision, support 700 billion VND from the central budget reserve in 2025 for 4 localities: Khanh Hoa, Lam Dong, Gia Lai, Dak Lak (of which Khanh Hoa province 200 billion VND, Lam Dong province 200 billion VND, Gia Lai province 150 billion VND, Dak Lak province 150 billion VND) to overcome the damage caused by floods as proposed by the Ministry of Finance in Document No. 18072/BTC-NSNN dated November 20, 2025.
