Faced with prolonged heavy rain and rising water levels, a section of the outer dike line belonging to Team 16, An Nghiep village, Thanh Mien commune, Hai Phong city appeared with landslides, posing a potential risk of unsafety. Leaders of Thanh Mien Commune People's Committee and the Commune Civil Defense Command directly directed and urgently mobilized forces to deploy plans to overcome and reinforce the dike line.
Implementing the commune's direction, departments, branches, and mass organizations, along with local forces, quickly arrived at the scene, coordinated with officials and people of An Nghiep village to reinforce about 30m of the eroded dyke.
With a spirit of urgency, proactiveness, and responsibility, the forces have focused manpower and resources, promptly consolidating the eroded dyke section, limiting the risk of continued landslides, contributing to ensuring the safety of the dyke line, protecting cultivated land and people's property.
The synchronous mobilization of forces according to the "4 on-the-spot" motto demonstrates the proactive spirit of the Party Committee, government and people of Thanh Mien commune in disaster prevention and control; at the same time, promoting the solidarity of the entire political system and community, determined not to be passive or surprised, and minimizing damage caused by natural disasters.
