On the afternoon of November 21, Mr. Nguyen Duy Quang, Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Khanh Hoa province, affirmed that there were no dam breaches in the province.
Previously, there were many rumors of dam failure in Khanh Hoa. According to the Khanh Hoa Irrigation Department, the total water capacity at 64 reservoirs in the area as of 10:00 a.m. on November 21 reached 630.437 million m3, equivalent to 83.8% of the designed capacity.
Major lakes such as Da Ban, Suoi Dau, Song Cai, Song Sat, Song Trau are currently at 6898% of their capacity.
Many lakes are operating at regulation level, especially the southern group of lakes such as Cai River discharging 567.39 m3/s (86.6%), Song Sat Lake (91.9%) discharging 166.64 m3/s, Tra Co Lake (86.7%) discharging 37.27 m3/s, Trau River (82.4%) discharging 51.91 m3/s, Ba Rau Lake (75.5%) 31.64 m3/s, Tan Giang Lake (89.8%) discharging 34.7 m3/s, Cho Mo Lake (100%) discharging 38.36 m3/s, Song Than Lake (49.9%) discharging 157.05 m3/s.
In the northern area, Da Ban Lake discharges 186.5 m3/s, Suoi Dau Lake discharges 74.3 m3/s, Ta Luc Lake discharges 68.51 m3/s, Am Chua Lake discharges 14.8 m3/s, Hoa Son Lake discharges 109.8 m3/s, Eakrong Rou hydropower plant discharges 50 m3/s, Suoi Trau Lake discharges 37.79 m3/s, Cam Ranh Lake discharges 33.15 m3/s.
In the context of complicated floods, the authorities recommend that people strictly implement safety measures, proactively monitor warning information to promptly respond.
