Completing the bus network covering urban and rural areas
According to the Khanh Hoa Department of Construction, in order to complete the public passenger transport system, meet the travel needs of people and serve socio-economic development, the Khanh Hoa Provincial Department of Construction announced the List of inter-provincial and adjacent bus route networks in Khanh Hoa province.
This decision replaces all previously announced contents related to the bus route network in the province.
According to the decision, the planned bus network includes 37 inter-provincial routes and 4 adjacent bus routes connecting Khanh Hoa with Dak Lak and Lam Dong provinces.
Among them, there are subsidized routes that are operating, newly opened routes, adjusted routes and temporarily suspended routes.
The list of inter-provincial routes covers most key areas of the province. Many subsidized bus routes continue to be maintained such as: Route No. 1 Bac Hon Ong - Dien Son; Route No. 2 Bac Hon Ong - Thanh Bus Station; Route No. 3 Northern Bus Station - Bac Hon Ong; Route No. 4 Luong Son - Thanh Bus Station.
In addition, Khanh Hoa also opened many new bus routes to meet the increasing travel needs of people and tourists.
Typical examples include: Route No. 9 Nha Trang Student Dormitory - Vinpearl; Route No. 16-2 Vinpearl - Cam Ranh Airport; Route No. 17 Ninh Hoa Bus Station - Ninh Phuoc; Route No. 18 Southern Interprovincial Bus Station - Khanh Son.
Orientation for developing large-capacity public transport
According to the announced plan, for the first time Khanh Hoa puts into a large-capacity public transport (BRT) route including: BRT Line 1: Cam Ranh Airport - Ring Road 3 Parking Lot; BRT Line 2: High-speed passenger terminal - Airport Urban Area.
Leaders of Khanh Hoa Department of Construction emphasized that BRT routes are expected to reduce urban traffic pressure, improve the quality of public transport services and gradually change people's habits of using personal vehicles.
The locality also organizes 3 tourist bus routes to serve tourists traveling from Bai Tien - Vinpearl Bus Station (route No. 23), inter-provincial bus station in the south (circle tour route, route No. 24), Oceanographic Institute (route No. 25).
For adjacent bus routes, Khanh Hoa plans 4 inter-provincial connection routes, including routes to Da Lat (Lam Dong), Phu Yen bus operating center (Dak Lak province), Ninh Thuan bus station - Bac Binh bus station.
The development of these routes contributes to strengthening regional linkages, creating favorable conditions for workers, students, and tourists to travel by public transport.
