Commune Chairman holds a micro to sell
In the middle of the ripe Chi Lang fruit season, the image of Mr. Vi Thien Viet - Chairman of Chi Lang Commune People's Committee - standing in the middle of the fruit garden, holding a livestream micro with farmers surprised many people and delighted them.
No longer with a hard administrative gap, the commune chairman appeared rustic and honest, introducing each fruit and garden to online buyers. After less than an hour of broadcasting online, the 5 tons of nuts were "closed".
This success not only brings joy to the people, but also affirms the spirit of accompanying the government with specific actions, daring to step out of the traditional path.
In the new office that still smells of paint, Mr. Viet, the chairman of the 8x generation commune, could not hide his excitement when mentioning his first "exhibition: "In my previous position, I mainly worked in state management. But when I was assigned to the grassroots level, I and many other commune leaders realized that we had to work together. Only when we are close to the people, close to the people, and understand the people, can we find the best solution for local economic and social development".
Ms. Lanh Thanh Huyen (Chi Lang commune) excitedly said: "Na Chi Lang is in the ripe season, the early season selling price is from 40,000 - 70,000 VND/kg, higher than last year. For the large grapefruit, 3 fruits/kg, it is sold for 90,000 - 150,000 VND/kg. The quality this year is very good, the price is also high, so everyone is excited. I believe my income will increase by VND compared to last year.
Deputy Secretary of a commune for tourism in Ngoc Chien
In Son La, Ngoc Chien commune is known for its hot mineral springs and majestic scenery. But what kept tourists longer came from the creative and friendly tourism of young officials.
The great contribution to that change is Mr. Bui Tien Sy - former Party Secretary, now Deputy Secretary of Ngoc Chien Commune after the merger. For many years, he has directly led visitors to experience, introduce village culture, cuisine, and brocade weaving.
Instead of just sitting at a paper table, he and the people participate in community tours, film promotional clips, and organize small festivals to attract customers.
Thanks to that, Ngoc Chien has gone from a strange place to a "dream valley" welcoming nearly 120,000 visitors/year. The whole commune currently has a community tourism cooperative, 40 stilt house accommodation facilities, 60 bungalows and 120 closed rooms. Tourism brings in 8-10 billion VND in revenue per year, creating jobs for hundreds of local workers.
Mr. Luong Van Xien - Director of Ngoc Chien Community Tourism Cooperative - said: "From the examples of cadres who dare to think, dare to do, dare to innovate and guide people, dozens of households also boldly innovate and invest in tourism. People are very excited!".
Commune official and TikToker Sung A Tua
In the mountainous area of Lao Cai, the name Sung A Tua, a cadres of the H'Mong young commune, impressed with a simple and approachable TikTok channel. In short clips, he is both a storyteller and an "ambassador" to promote the image of his hometown, from the village, the old corn and snow sweet potted plant to the rustic meals with the people. Not fussy, but each video attracts hundreds of thousands of views.
What is special is that Tua still plays the role of a commune cadre who is close to the people, understands the people, and acts as a bridge between the government and the community. Thanks to TikTok, the identity of the H'Mong people, the shan Tuyet tea tree, and the cloud hunting spots in the highlands are strongly spread, and many tourists come to them in real life after "meeting" them online.
"I just want to try a little more every day, so that people do not have to go to the city to work for hire, but together unite to stick to the forest and the mountain, bringing green rice tea to more consumers," said Mr. Tua.
The common point of Mr. Viet, Mr. Sy and Mr. Sung A Tua is the spirit of innovation. They understand that in order for agricultural products not to be forced to price, so that tourism does not stagnate, it is necessary to change immediately from the approach.
The "commune 4.0 cadres" are vivid evidence for a generation of cadres who dare to innovate, dare to step out of the dead path, so that every homeland has the opportunity to take off.
