The project to build a running road along the Red River connecting Ban Vuoc border gate to Y Ty, from Km4+300 to Km7+500, the connecting branch line and the bridge over Ngoi Phat stream was approved under Decision No. 2805 dated November 1, 2024 of the People's Committee of Lao Cai province.
The project belongs to Group B, with a total investment of 380 billion VND; the project investor is the Lao Cai Provincial Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board.
On the morning of August 19, the Lao Cai Provincial Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board started construction of Package No. 14: Construction of Ngoi Phat Bridge (including equipment relocation).
Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Mr. Ly Binh Minh - Vice Chairman of Lao Cai Provincial People's Council emphasized: Provincial Road 156 from Lao Cai to Y Ty commune, 58km long, plays an important role in reducing traffic congestion for route 4E, ensuring import-export activities and national defense and security, combined with socio-economic development of the province.
Currently, the section from Kim Thanh border gate to Ban Vuoc commune border bridge has been and is being invested in, expected to be completed in 2025.
The project to build a running road along the Red River connecting Ban Vuoc Border Gate to Y Ty, from Km4+300 to Km7+500, the branch route connecting and the bridge over Ngoi Phat stream, when completed, will complete the new Provincial Road 156, helping to connect the exploitation of Ban Vuoc Border Gate and Kim Thanh Border Gate, meeting future transportation needs.
According to Mr. Ly Binh Minh, the project completion process still has many difficulties, so investors, local authorities and contractors need to quickly complete procedures to implement synchronous construction, ensuring quality and progress, without causing loss or waste.
Mr. Chu Duc Hai - Director of the Lao Cai Province Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board said: The project is invested in accordance with the planning of the Ban Vuoc border gate area, the overall planning for traffic development and the socio-economic development plan of Lao Cai province, meeting the travel and trade needs of the people.
It is known that the price of Package No. 14 is 114,688,809,000 VND, with the Ngoi Phat Bridge Joint Venture - consisting of 2 units, Lao Cai Bridge Construction Joint Stock Company and Lao Cai Construction and Inspection Joint Stock Company, under construction.
The Ngoi Phat bridge project was permanently rebuilt at Km4+534.05 using reinforced concrete and prestressed reinforced concrete according to standards; global length 198.2m (to the end of the abutment), global width 22.5m, of which the width of the vehicle is 20m...
For the above part, the span structure includes 5 spans of I-shaped cut beams made of prestressed reinforced concrete, beam length 33 m, cross-section including 10 beam edges, distance between beams 2.25 m, beam height 1.65 m. For the lower part, the abutment and piers are made of reinforced concrete on the bored pile foundation system.
The bridge has an approach road designed according to the scale of the route with the standards of a level III plain road, designed speed of 80km/h; Roadbed width of 22.5m; road surface width of 20m (including the embankment as the road surface structure)...
The time for the Ngoi Phat Bridge Joint Venture to construct this project is 540 days from the date of signing the contract.
