Of which, 76 houses collapsed or were swept away by floods; 4,457 hectares of crops, mainly crops, were damaged; more than 9,000 livestock and poultry were swept away by floods.
Chairman of D'ran Commune People's Committee - Mr. Nguyen Huu Chi - said that the whole commune has more than 500 households directly affected. As a key vegetable production area with a system of greenhouses and high-value greenhouses, the commune suffered serious damage with about 500 hectares of vegetables flooded and washed away, with an estimated damage of about 250 billion VND. Currently, people are focusing on restoring production and stabilizing their lives.
In Cat Tien, Secretary of the Cat Tien Commune Party Committee - Mr. Ho Quoc Phong - said that the whole commune has more than 160 hectares of durian belonging to people in 20 flooded villages. Quang Ngai 1 village is the most severely affected area with more than 40 hectares.
Chairman of Cat Tien 2 Commune People's Committee - Mr. Nguyen Hoang Lich - informed that the locality has more than 150 hectares of perennial crops, which were flooded by the rising water of the Dong Nai River, mainly durian, heavily flooded over 1m.
Through practical research in localities, people are urgently implementing measures to save trees, prevent flooding and restore production.
