Lam Dong - The Provincial People's Committee assigned functional agencies to speed up support for people affected by floods to build houses, pay a combined of 3 months of pension for people to celebrate Tet.

On December 15, Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee assigned departments, branches and localities to implement solutions to overcome the consequences of natural disasters and restore production after floods.

According to the plan, Lam Dong province will make a combined payment of 3 months of pension and social insurance benefits (December 2025, January and February 2026) in the payment period of December 2025.

Thereby, helping policy beneficiaries in areas affected by storms and floods to overcome the consequences and celebrate the Lunar New Year 2026.

Along with that, the Provincial People's Committee directed the issuance of new and renewed health insurance cards; resolved problems with medical examination and treatment procedures; guided medical facilities to ensure the rights of health insurance participants living in flooded areas.

For housing support, Lam Dong province assigned relevant agencies and units to implement. Specifically, in cases where houses are collapsed or completely damaged by natural disasters, VND 120 million/house will be supported, completed before January 31, 2026; in case of house repair, VND 2040 million/house will be supported, completed before December 20, 2025.

In addition, the province will support households affected by natural disasters with VND5 million/household to stabilize their lives; support rental for 2 months for cases of building new houses, at VND2 million/month.

Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee assigned competent agencies to complete and accurately collect statistics to arrange and organize land funds for new construction and resettlement for households whose houses were swept away by floods, completely collapsed or were severely damaged.

For landslides at Mimosa Pass, D'ran Pass, Prenn Pass (Da Lat) and on National Highways 20, 27, 27C, 28 and irrigation works, Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee assigned functional units to coordinate in implementing solutions to overcome and serve people's needs and trade goods.

Lam Dong province also assigned the Department of Health and the Department of Education and Training to organize the cleaning, repair and restoration of medical facilities and schools to ensure medical examination, treatment and learning.

Students from primary school and above from households with flooded and disadvantaged houses are supported with 500,000 VND/student to buy school supplies.

Relevant units are assigned to count the area of crops and livestock of people affected by natural disasters to develop a support plan and restore production.

As reported by Lao Dong Newspaper, from October to the end of November 2025, Lam Dong province experienced many heavy rains, causing many residential areas and production areas of people to be flooded; many traffic works were damaged by landslides.

The heavy rain from November 17 to 23 alone recorded 5 deaths and 1 injury; 2,784 households were affected in their homes, many of which were collapsed or swept away by floods; 4,457 hectares of crops, mainly crops, were damaged; more than 9,000 livestock and poultry were swept away by floods. The total estimated damage is more than 1,200 billion VND.
