On October 8, the People's Committee of Con Dao Special Zone (HCMC) assigned the Con Dao Forest Protection Department to preside over and coordinate with Con Dao National Park to conduct an inspection and verification of the actual status of some areas of deforested forest trees in the area.
Previously, on October 3, Con Dao National Park sent a document to the People's Committee of Con Dao Special Zone informing about the discovery of 2 areas of natural forests that were cut down by people for cultivation.

At the same time, the Con Dao Forest Protection Department is required to clearly identify the current status of whether there are or not natural forests; the status of deforestation... to clarify and handle according to regulations.
